Gifts for the Music Festival Enthusiast in Your Life

Updated: Nov 14, 2020

This was supposed to be the year that I finally got to a music festival. Needless to say that did not happen. There are some silver linings to this, however, one of which is having some more time to figure out what kind of clothes and accessories I want to get for those events. For this roundup, I have paired a few of my very favorite artists and small businesses making things from clothes to jewelry to phone cases that are on the top of my list to purchase things from before *hopefully* attending EDC Las Vegas and Electric Forest next year.

As always, all of the pictures are hyperlinked to the maker's shop, so make sure to visit each page, book mark it, share it, love it, and make sure to check back to see new products on each of the shops!

I think everyone has their own specific vein of clothing for music festivals, so I want to feature a couple of different options. One is this absolutely gorgeous Disco Bra from Disco Lemonade. I love everything about this- the colors, the embellishments, the textures, and I can definitely see myself on night one of a festival wearing this and feeling like an absolute BOSS.

I think this product photo also shows how well you can pair this with a simple set of bottoms and let the top do all the work. Absolutely gorgeous.

The Disco Lemonade shop also has the most perfect shawls to complement your outfit when the sun goes down and you need just a little something extra. I love how luxurious this black and gold one looks.

Click on either of these pictures to be taken to the main product page of the shop, and use the navigation menu to browse around. I could legitimately look at this shop site for hours and be simply mesmerized. If you are looking for a knock out outfit for any day of the festival, this is absolutely where you are going to want to browse.

So let me move to an accessory for a moment that I have been really excited about. Phone cases from Liquidsun Art look phenomenal. This shop is making some great paint poured art like this as well, but I have really not seen this done for many phone cases yet. LOOK at these colors!

I really like to have a phone that I can easily describe. I want to have a phone that has a different case on it so that I am not at a lost and found someday saying well...it is in a solid color rubber case...

This phone is definitely going to stand out. I have had my favorite piece of artwork as a phone case for over a year now and I love having actual art on my phone.

I would put this shop among my top choices for art like this, whether it is phone cases, wall art, or their upcoming options for clothing.

That's right- clothing! Check their shop and make sure to follow them on socials to keep up with when their clothing options with prints like this will be available.

Speaking of clothing, let me tell you next about my very favorite tie dye shop that I have found so far- OG Tie Dye Company. Obviously, I love their use of colors and patterns, but what I most love is the range of clothing options that their dyes are available on for purchase!

This crop top just gives off that perfect music festival feel! (I know, I technically haven't been to one yet, but I have spent a lot of time daydreaming...) I am a bit obsessed over fringe and movement in clothing.

Here's how I see it playing out, on the second day of a festival, I still want to have a rockin' outfit, but I am starting to want a bit more comfort and ease with it. Tie dye leggings, crops, and dresses are going to fit that bill every time. This gives me all of the vibrancy and color I want to bring to a moment, but it is less restrictive than what I probably wore the first day when I was well rested and ready to go.

You can find a range of shirts in the shop that have really cool, almost fractal-like patterns, along with other options like overalls, dresses, and so on. You can snag great options that will double for your regular day wardrobe too, like these awesome leggings. Rock these babies to the gym and brighten up those gray winter days. Please. I really need people to wear all the colors this winter.

Back to accessories, one shop making really cute wire wrapped pendants is LexisWraps. I saw this little mushroom and immediately thought of two friends of mine that go to Electric Forest that would love this as a Christmas gift.

Wire wrapped pendants fascinate me, as having done a range of crafts before I know how hard it is to work with wire and get it to look this good. This is a jewelry trend that I am absolutely here for, and it is made even better by the stones used in this work.

Speaking of my favorite stone, thanks for asking, this labradorite eye pendant is so cool! Labradorite is a really neat stone that tends to have exciting flashes as it moves with the light, sparking blues or other colors as it catches. Pairing it with an eye-shaped wrap is an awesome idea and the execution is great.

I would pair this on a choker style necklace, maybe a black fabric style one, and have it be the signature piece to a music festival look. For day-to-day, I think putting it on a longer necklace and layering it with some other blues would be really sharp.

Alright, it's day three of the music festival. You are exhausted, no one has slept in days, and you need a cool design but maximum comfort. This is where one of my own shops can help you out. With an assortment of hoodies, shorts, joggers, and tees, my Kin Custom shop is my very best option for full print clothing. The bonus is this is my newest shop, so margins on it are set pretty low while I test some patterns and dial in the vein of this shop. Bottom line? Great prices for you.

Having a husband that has gone to music festivals for years, he always says there just aren't that many options for men's clothes. So, my goal is to improve that.

I also have made it really easy to match your rave bae AND both be in comfortable clothing. The one downside to this particular shop is not being able to shop a full collection by print, like you can on my RedBubble where you can explore by design. So each of these pictures will take you to men's or women's clothing. I also have most prints enabled on shoes, and some bags.

There are a range of styles like crop tops, tank tops, multiple kinds of jackets, shoes, and bags that have some of my favorite prints. This particular one, called Get a Drip on Yourself, is one of my all time favorite color combinations. My husband really likes the Geometry is Rad print, which is a multicolor geometric kaleidoscope of fun that you can wear!

Hopefully this gives you a few ideas of things that you can gift to someone or gift to yourself. I know that personally after the chaos that has been 2020, I will be gifting myself multiple things from my favorite small businesses as a reward for making it this far (haha, but seriously...)

Bookmark these businesses, share them on your socials, pin this on your Pinterest- I know I say it on every post like this but I am really encouraging people to shop unique this year. Find small businesses, makers, and artists, shop early, and buy something that will really surprise someone and make them say "Wow, where did you find this?"

Amazon will barely notice you're gone if you avoid them this gifting season. But each of these shops? They will absolutely notice that you have arrived on their scene. It's a lot like giving a gift to them while buying a gift for someone. Double win.
